Its meaning is not fixed and will evolve and deepen as time passes and as the College community continues to grow. The sculpture serves as a dedication to the College’s mission and was positioned at the front of the College to be a visible anchor—a place for reflection, gathering, or simply a reminder of the wisdom of St Benedict.

As time moves forward, future students will engage with the sculpture in different ways. It may become the backdrop to significant events, a place where traditions are formed, or a physical representation of the College’s identity as it evolves. Over decades, the sandstone will bear the marks of weather and time, it will be a testament to the longevity of the values it represents.
