Senior Pathways

​​Upon completion of Year 12 studies, St Benedict's College students will receive a Senior Education Profile which contains, if eligible, one ​or more of the following:

  • Senior Statement
  • Queensland Certificate of Education OR
  • Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement
  • Overall Position (OP) or Selection Rank
  • AQF Vocational Education and Training (VET) Certificate
  • Tertiary Entrance Statement

Students can choose to study Authority subjects, Authority Registered subjects, VET Certificate courses or a combination of all three. Studen​​ts are also given the opportunity to undertake TAFE courses or school-based traineeships and apprenticeships.  Usually a student undertakes six subjects to form their course of study during Years 11 and 12.

At the end of Year 11, students may apply to study subjects at university (for example Start QUT Program, QUT Accounting in High School Program, UQ Enhanced Studies Program, ACU Uni Step-Up).  In Year 12 all students will either be OP eligible or Tertiary Selection Rank eligible.
