Resource Centre

The Resource Centre at St Benedict’s College is a vibrant and inclusive hub of learning, creativity and connection. More than just a library, it is a dynamic, social and flexible learning space where students and staff explore ideas, deepen understanding, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Open throughout the school day, the Resource Centre provides resources, services and programs that enhance and support the curriculum.

Our collection includes a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books, graphic novels, magazines, picture books, and access to digital databases and eBooks via the Oliver Catalogue. Students are encouraged to explore topics of interest and develop research skills using curated guides supported by our LearnPath platform.

The Resource Centre offers printing services and IT support for student laptops. Students can also receive help with research and referencing, including guidance on effective search techniques and source evaluation.

Qualified staff are available to assist students with research, homework, and reading recommendations. A variety of lunchtime clubs operate from the Centre, including Chess Club, Lego Club, Book Club, and Homework Club—providing opportunities for enrichment and connection.

Throughout the year, the Resource Centre celebrates a variety of events that promote literacy, creativity and cultural awareness. These include Library Lovers Day, Book Week, and Chinese New Year—bringing the community together through engaging displays, activities and themed events.
